How to Get a Job if You Have No Experience

"But I don't have ANY experience!!!" 🫤

This is one of the most common complaints I hear in my career workshops...

...and I totally get it.

After all, we *ALL* started without track records full of famous brands, fancy titles, and decades of experience.

And yet...

Let's get real. ⚡️

Because here's the truth about work: Experience is Experience is Experience.

In other words, when I ask an entry-level staffer to analyze data, do I really care whether they're using skills they gained at Google or Georgetown or Greenpeace?

Heck no.

They can either get the job done or they can't.

And that's why, when I worked at LinkedIn, 40% of recruiters we surveyed reported valuing volunteer work *ON PAR* with paid experience.

40% of recruiters say they value volunteer work on par with paid experience! 🙌

So bottom line: The next time you're thinking about psyching yourself out of a job before you even apply, DIG DEEPER.

Go to your career coach or ChatGPT with a question like "Help me identify 5 valuable experiences from my time in school."

Because once you start digging, you may be surprised just how much experience you actually DO have!!! 💥
