Don't fall for it - 3 MYTHS about job interviews.
Myth 1: Interviews are about getting the RIGHT answer.
Reality: Humans aren't Scantron machines. We want someone who feels right as a colleague, not just who says the technically correct thing.
Myth 2: All questions are EQUALLY important.
Reality: The majority of hiring managers admit to making up their mind in just the first 5 minutes of the interview. Which makes "Tell me about yourself" the most important question by far!
Myth 3: The most qualified candidate GETS the job.
Reality: Being great at the job is not the same as being great at interviews. So instead of resting on your laurels as a qualified candidate, recognize that the most important skill you need right now is to be a fantastic interviewee.
